Photographers are currently having a tough time choosing their shooting locations. That's why it only makes sense to simply use your own four walls as a photo studio. A creative solution comes from our photographer Seb Nagel from Kaiserslautern, who quickly transformed his own shower into a special photo setup with just a few aids.

"The basic idea was to use the Slims in such a way that I could evenly illuminate the cascading water of my shower." To discreetly illuminate the model Juliane with warm light, he used size S of the Slim LEDs. This can be done either on the camera's hot shoe or, of course, handheld. It worked great, says the professional photographer. "Here, I primarily wanted to play with the warm-cold contrasts in the picture," he explains.
Setup & Equipment
- Lumis Slim LED RGB lights or similar LED lights
- One to two small flexible tripods such as the Rollei Monkey Pod
To use them in his shower, Seb had a clever idea, as you can see from his pictures. He explained to us: "I attached sizes M and L as follows. I attached M to the Monkey Pod and size L to the tripod. And then I simply positioned the lights directly on the shower head and pointed them diagonally downwards."
One of the good things about our Monkey Pod is that it makes it very easy to quickly change the angle of incidence of light.
Note: Please make sure that the LED lights are not waterproof. Extreme caution is advised when using them near water!

The Slim LEDs, made of high-quality aluminum, have either 135 LEDs (S) or 396 LEDs (L) depending on their size, which are equally divided into white light, warm light and RGB.
Settings
Seb used the following settings and hardware:
- Rollei Lumis Slim L: Blue, at 100%
- Rollei Lumis Slim S: 3200K, also at 100%
