This is how the firmware update works-in 3 simple steps
1. Connect TR-Q8
Connect the TR-Q8 via USB cable With your computer. The transmitter is automatically as external drive displayed.
2. Download firmware
Download the right firmware file for your model at the top. Pay attention to the correct version (Sony or Universal).
3. Copy file
Copy the file Directly into the TR Q8 drive. The update starts automatically - No software is necessary.
New function in the menu: boost or normal mode
After successful installation, you will find two new settings in the menu of your TR-Q8:
🟠 Boost mode
For recent Rollei Freeze flashes (from approx. Building year 2021)
→ higher reach & short loading times
⚪ Normal mode
For older flashes like Freeze 4 or Freeze 6
→ optimal compatibility & secure triggering
