F:X Pro Round Filter ND Filter Set from Rollei

F:X Pro ND Round Filter Set

With this set, you get an ND8, an ND64, and an ND1000 filter from our "F:X Pro" series. These three filter intensities are excellently suited for a wide variety of photographic challenges and give you the opportunity to implement many creative shooting ideas with all the advantages an F:X Pro filter has to offer.

You can use the comparatively moderate ND8 round filter, for example, to compensate for slight overexposures, gently smooth water surfaces, or create subtle wipe effects.

With the 6 stops of the ND64 round filter, even longer exposure times can be achieved, which, for example, transform waves into almost mirror-smooth surfaces and make unwanted people, vehicles, or animals disappear from architectural photos.

With the strong ND1000 filter (10 stops), less than 0.1 percent of the incident light reaches the sensor of your DSLR or DSLM camera. For very demanding and elaborate long exposures, complex landscape and building shots, or for particularly eye-catching wipe effects, you use the ND1000 with an optical density of 3.0. All three filters together or in the required combination of two then open the door to extreme filter photography.

FX:Pro ND Filter Set for creative shooting ideas

In our F:X Pro filter series, we have, among other things, refined our ND filters (Neutral Density). The purpose of ND filters is to reduce the light entering your camera sensor. We have equipped the round filters, which are available in sizes from 62 to 82 millimeters, with our Luminance Coating, so that their reflection-free surface is 99.5 percent. This guarantees you razor-sharp images – even with "high-end" cameras with 150 MP. The color fidelity is exemplary, which means you can capture your surroundings exactly as you saw them.

Exemplary color fidelity of the individual filters

Filter made of extremely resistant Gorilla Glass

This is what ND filters are for:

  • Representation of movements through longer exposure times
  • Removal of moving objects from the image
  • Highlighting the subject by blurring the background
  • Increasing the aperture - reducing the depth of field

Our ND filters are available in various intensities and stops. One stop means that the amount of light entering the sensor is reduced by one f-stop. Depending on which filter with how many stops you use, you must accordingly extend your shutter speed by the same number of stops. This allows you to capture magically drawn images with longer exposure times even in sunshine. You can, for example, blur moving elements of your image composition, which, when taking a picture of a river, ensures that the water looks silky – but larger stones in the river are sharply drawn because they are not moving. Do you want to photograph a tourist attraction like the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, but preferably without people in the picture? This is also no problem with an ND filter. Due to the long exposure, ultimately only the immobile architecture remains in the picture. However, plan enough time for your long exposure, because depending on the setting, it can take several minutes to an hour.

These ND filters are included in the set:

  • ND8 (3 stops / 0.9)
  • ND64 (6 stops / 1.8)
  • ND1000 (10 stops / 3)

Depending on how much light should hit the sensor, you can, of course, also combine our filters.

Exemplary color fidelity with extremely fine coating

We have equipped our ND round filters with our self-developed F:X Pro Coating, which ensures that your images are always razor-sharp, even with extremely high-resolution cameras with 150 megapixels. The reflection-free surface of our F:X Pro filters is also 99.5 percent. With these filters, you get exemplary color fidelity – and reproduce your subject true to nature.

To be able to offer you products that you will enjoy for a long time, our filters are made of Gorilla®* glass. Through a special manufacturing process, it is legendarily resistant and at the same time guarantees extremely high light transmission and color neutrality. Our anti-scratch layer gives the filter glass its final hardness against mechanical influences and ensures that dirt from grease, water, or mud can also be removed quickly and effortlessly.

But our filters are not only scratch-resistant – but also temperature-resistant. We have tested this under the highest quality standards in scorching heat and also bitter cold. In short: they are the best filters we have ever built.
