Magnetic UV Circular Filter

With the F:X Pro Magnetic UV Filter Mark II, we now also offer a magnetic UV filter in the usual F:X Pro quality. The filter is mounted, depending on the lens diameter, via the F:X Pro Magnetic Base Ring Mark II or one of the F:X Pro Magnetic Step-Up Rings Mark II.

Why do you need UV filters?

UV light is invisible to human eyes and can easily interfere with image sharpness – especially with strong magnifications, it can be very problematic. UV filters specifically block the ultraviolet component in sunlight and thus prevent unwanted color distortions.

In addition, a UV filter also has mechanical advantages – due to its otherwise very color-neutral properties, it protects expensive lenses from damage.

Precisely because most camera sensors nowadays block UV light ex works, the inexpensive additional protection of expensive lenses is a particularly efficient application area for today's UV filters. And thanks to Gorilla®*-glass and dirt-repellent multi-coating, Rollei's magnetic UV filters have been optimized for precisely this purpose.

The F:X Pro magnetic circular filter series

Like all filters in the F:X Pro series, we have also equipped the F:X Pro Magnetic UV Filter Mark II with our self-developed F:X Pro Coating, which ensures that your images are always razor-sharp, even with extremely high-resolution cameras with 150 megapixels. The reflection-free quality of our F:X Pro filters is also 99.5%. With these filters, you get exemplary color fidelity – and reproduce your subject true to life.

To be able to offer you products that you will enjoy for a long time, our filters are made of Gorilla®*-glass. Thanks to a special manufacturing process, it is legendary for its resistance and at the same time guarantees extremely high light transmission and color neutrality. Our anti-scratch layer gives the filter glass its ultimate hardness against mechanical influences and ensures that dirt from grease, water or mud can be removed quickly and effortlessly.

Can be used simultaneously with other magnetic filters

The F:X Pro Magnetic UV Filter Mark II can be easily combined with our other magnetic filters from the F:X Pro Magnetic Circular Filters Mark II series. Due to its two magnetic sides, it can be easily attached to the magnetic base ring (not included) or one of the separately available magnetic step-up rings, and another filter can be added. It is also quickly stowed away if not needed. For this, the circular filter can simply be connected to another filter from the F:X Pro Magnetic Circular Filters Mark II series via the magnets and closed with the optionally available F:X Pro Magnetic End Cap Mark II and F:X Pro Magnetic Front Cap Mark II.

By the way: You can also simply leave the Magnetic Base Ring or Magnetic Step-Up Ring mounted on your lens. The F:X Pro Magnetic Front Cap Mark II can then be used as a lens cap. To transport the magnetic filters well protected, we recommend an additional F:X Pro Magnetic Front Cap Mark II. This way, your magnetic filters remain well packed, while you can use them even faster: remove the front cap from the lens, attach the magnetic filter and you're ready to go.

One filter, multiple lenses

With our separately available F:X Pro Magnetic Step-Up Rings Mark II, the magnetic filters with an 82 mm diameter can be easily mounted on filter threads with a smaller diameter. So if you own several lenses with different diameters, we recommend purchasing magnetic filters with a diameter of 82 mm and appropriate step-up rings in the diameters of your lenses. This way, you can quickly and easily use all lenses with the magnetic filters.
