Notes on Electrical Waste Disposal (ElektroG)
Manufacturers and retailers are legally obliged to take back old devices free of charge and to dispose of or recycle them in an environmentally sound manner according to prescribed standards. This applies to affected products with the following marking.

Symbol for separate collection of waste electrical and electronic equipment
Consumers are not permitted to dispose of old devices with this marking in household waste, but can hand them in at the designated collection points within their municipality, at public waste disposal authorities (ÖRE), or at the retail store where the product was purchased. Consumers are responsible for deleting personal data on old devices to be disposed of.
Old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed within the old device must be separated from it before being handed in at a collection point. Please note our information on battery disposal.
We fulfill our take-back obligation under the ElektroG. A partner handles the disposal and recycling of old devices for us via municipal collection points. You can send the respective device to us for disposal. To do so, please contact us at hello@rollei.de or at 040/270750270, so that we can provide you with a return label. We cooperate with UPS for this. Information about a UPS Access Point near you can be found here: https://www.ups.com/dropoff?loc=de_DE
Notes on Battery Disposal (Battery Act – BattG)
The Battery Act regulates the placing on the market, the return, and the environmentally sound disposal of batteries and accumulators. The following notice concerns the handling of goods by end-users if these goods consist of or contain batteries. In connection with the distribution of batteries and goods containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. As an end-user, you are legally obliged to return old batteries to ensure proper disposal. You can hand in old batteries and accumulators at a municipal collection point or at local retailers. As a distributor of batteries, Rollei is obliged to take back old batteries free of charge, whereby our take-back obligation is limited to old batteries of the type that we offer and distribute or have offered and distributed as new batteries. Old batteries of the aforementioned type can be sent to us sufficiently franked by post or handed in free of charge directly at Rollei's headquarters in Norderstedt (RCP Handels-GmbH & Co. KG, In de Tarpen 42, 22848 Norderstedt).
The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:

Batteries/accumulators are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin. Batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.

Batteries containing more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury, more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium, or more than 0.004 mass percent lead are marked with corresponding details below the wheeled bin, as shown, with the respective chemical abbreviation ("Cd" for cadmium, "Pb" for lead, and "Hg" for mercury).
