Warranty
The guarantor is the manufacturer of the ROLLEI product, RCP Handels-GmbH & Co. KG., In de Tarpen 42, D - 22848 Norderstedt (hereinafter: ROLLEI).
24-month replacement service
Rollei offers a 24-month replacement service on almost all products. Our flashes and LED lights are excluded from this and will be sent to our service center for repair in the event of a defect. Consumables, such as flash tubes, are also excluded from the warranty.
We offer a 6-month warranty on our batteries, so these are also not covered by the 24-month replacement service.
For all other Rollei products, ROLLEI grants a 24-month replacement service from the date of purchase, which means:
- A defective product or part will be replaced with a new or refurbished, as-new item.
- ROLLEI bears the return and shipping costs in Europe.
10-year manufacturer's warranty for "Lion Rock" line products
In addition, ROLLEI grants an extended manufacturer's warranty of 10 years from the date of purchase for tripods and tripod heads of the Lion Rock series. Please keep your invoice accordingly. As part of this additional warranty, we extend your statutory warranty rights to 10 years. Thus, we guarantee that the product will retain its specified quality for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase when used properly (durability guarantee). Your statutory warranty rights against the seller of the ROLLEI product are not restricted by these warranty conditions.
25 year manufacturer's warranty for products of the "Lion Rock Pro" line
For the Lion Rock Pro product line, ROLLEI grants an extended manufacturer's warranty of 25 years from the date of purchase. Please keep your invoice accordingly. As part of this additional warranty, we extend your statutory warranty rights to 25 years. Thus, we guarantee that the product will retain its specified quality for a period of 25 years from the date of purchase when used properly (durability guarantee). Your statutory warranty rights against the seller of the ROLLEI product are not restricted by these warranty conditions.
Handling of warranty and guarantee cases:
You must generally exercise your warranty rights against the seller of the ROLLEI product. Under this warranty, you can alternatively assert your warranty rights directly against ROLLEI.
A warranty case exists if a claim would be given on the basis of the statutory warranty rights against the seller of the ROLLEI product.
The warranty protection applies worldwide. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase. The prerequisite for asserting a warranty claim is the submission of the original proof of purchase.
Excluded from the warranty are:
- Defects due to own fault (e.g., operating and application errors, misuse)
- Consequential damage (e.g., camera defect if tripod is defective)
- Consumables (e.g., light bulbs, cleaning materials, protective glasses and batteries)

If it is a professional service product (tripods, rectangular and round filters, flashes and accessories) or a product with an extended manufacturer's warranty, this is indicated accordingly on the product's warranty card. If you no longer have the warranty card, please first send only an e-mail to hello@rollei.de and wait for a reply. Professional service products can then be sent to the Professional Service Center at your own expense:

In any case, a copy of the proof of purchase must be submitted. We reserve the right to request the original proof of purchase.
If the product is sent to our service center without additional notification by e-mail to hello@rollei.de, processing may be delayed from the time the shipment is received.
If a warranty case exists, we will contact you or directly send you an identical product.
If no warranty case exists, you will receive a cost estimate. If you wish to have the repair carried out, you must reimburse the necessary fees for repairs and similar incidental costs according to the cost estimate. Otherwise, we will return the ROLLEI product to your specified address at your expense.
